I Want to Quit

By making the decision to remove smoking from your life you have taken the first and most important step.

From your enquiry we can send you some supporting literature or give you a call to offer some advice. You can even visit your local IQS Quit Smoking Centre and get some face-to-face guidance.

After your initial enquiry you can make an appointment with one of our IQS consultants by contacting 0800 1075877. All appointments are made through a central booking system so an IQS consultant can guide you on the next slot available at your local IQS Quit Smoking Centre.

The appointment will be scheduled and an IQS Therapist will book your time for consultation and treatment. You should allow around 1 hour for the entire process, although the treatment can take up to an hour for heavily addicted smokers.

The Consultation

The consultation interview is an important part of the IQS treatment.

Details are entered into the "No Smoke" Software. Details include:

  • Age
  • Sex
  • Number of cigarettes smoked per day
  • Number of years as smoker
  • Times of day you smoke
  • These answers are then used to determine the personalised IQS Treatment

An important part of the consultation process is to prepare mentally for the procedure. Your trained IQS therapist will start to introduce concepts that will provide the confidence to quit.

Preparation Program

The IQS treatment is based on proven methods and with 90% success rates the figures speak for themselves. However any treatment of this kind requires the individual to be in the correct frame of mind. Quitting smoking can be a life changing decision and a smoker must be in a place in their lives where smoking is something that is seen as a threat to their life.

The consultation and interview will help with the necessary mental preparation by placing the ideas and concepts necessary for smoking cessation into the client’s mindset.

Even without this consultation the IQS client must feel the desire to quit. It must be something they are committed to, and are willing to work to achieve.

The Treatment

The information given in the consultation process will then be loaded into the RISE devise and the IQS treatment will then begin.

The treatment will last between 30 and 60 minutes depending on the individual and starts with the trained therapist gently placing the RISE devise over the outer ear. The device stimulates reflex points located on the outer with a gentle electrical pulse.

Once the treatment has completed clients have commented that they feel a sense of calm and revitalisation.

Post Treatment Consultation

The IQS Therapist will then provide a Post Treatment Interview which will explain in detail the process of the next couple of weeks. They will provide advice on the indications an IQS Non Smoker can expect to see and experience in the coming days and they will give some important guidance on how to get the best possible results from the initial IQS treatment.

After Care Support Program

Once the IQS treatment is completed IQS will continue to provide you with the help and support you’ll need to make the treatment a long term success.

We’ll provide you with an "I’ve Quit Smoking" manual which will give you helpful advice and guidance. We will give you support emails and telephone calls throughout the coming weeks and you can always call IQS free phone on 0800 1075877 should you need some on the spot support or guidance.

By quitting with IQS you have joined 300,000+ people from all over the world. This community of people just like you can be accessed through www.iqs.uk.com – "I’ve Quit Smoking" and provides a forum where UK former smokers can meet online, share ideas, provide support and dish out advice and guidance.
